PostSubject: Guidelines For Starting Your Own Contest   Fri Aug 31, 2012 3:12 am

These guidelines must be followed in order for members to start their own Contest.

#1. If you are the owner of a member club, your club contests must be posted in this section. (If your club does any) Please put your prefix code in the title of the OP so that Admins know it is an "Approved Club"

#2. After the OP has been made, the host must wait to start the contest until they receive the "Approval Seal"

#3. The Admins will review the OP and either approve it or disprove it. If approved an "Admin Approval Seal" will be stamped on the OP.

#4. If the OP has the "Approval Seal" stamped on it, these means the event was approved and it is OK to continue the event.

#5. If the contest is started without the "Approval Seal" the contest post will be removed and the host will receive a warning penalty.

#6. Attempting to fake an "Approval Seal" or use one without the Admins authorization, will result in disciplinary action.

#7. Member Clubs that have already been approved by an Admin do not need to wait for an approval on their contests in this section.

#8. If your contest is good enough, the Admins may turn it into an "Official Contest"

#9. In the event that your contest becomes an "Official" one, it must comply with the Official Contest Guidelines.

If you are confused about any of these rules, because you probably are, please ask questions.

Just thinking, but if the contest has not yet received an approval seal (whatever that may be) does that mean that members can not join the contest? Or would it be okay for the contest to be there and then if some-one wants to join it then they can but have to accept that the contest may still not receive a approval seal?

I think it's going to be hard to stop people from signing up for a contest they get excited about.

So inevitably, people will probably post even without the admin seal of approval.

However, obviously as soon as it's locked, nothing can really happen if the oP didn't go through the proper procedures to get the contest set up ^_^;

However, for people who have been around longer, I think they would think twice before posting if they realize it hasn't been approved yet.

Otherwise, they're basically wasting their time posting if the contest never gets the seal of approval.

It's a new system komm/dx were working on, so I guess we'll really just have to test it out and see how it goes Smile

I also have a question: How does a club owner go about getting a 'prefix' code for their club contests? Should a link be provided here to instructions on that?

When a Member Club has been made and approved, They will be given a prefix code for their club. Kommeo was supposed to reflect that change in the Member Club Rules. It most likely will be an Acronym of their clubs name.

A simple question,
so, basically, the rules are just saying that you need an approval seal to start/post anything in the contest section, correct?
One more question.
the last rule , if it's good enough ( implying that many members like/join it, as if they wanted to have it again, and others argue/suggest that it be a offical contest) and if it didn't follow one little guideline, could it possibly be overlooked/accepted disregarding that rule?

question 1 yes

question 2 yes, if a(n) admin/mod says that it is alright, then that can be overlooked
