Is anyone getting this? I'm somewhat interested in it.

I really wish there was a free demo download though...but I think you basically just have to buy it x_x

It's free to play once you buy it however, and it doesn't seem like it's going to be the typical mmorpg grind fest.

Here's the main site:

Yeah I've heard of this and I watched the yogscast review it when it was still in it's Beta stages. All I can say is that it requires some massive computer stats, you need a really good RAM and Data space. To be honest I wont be buying it for a while because I'm going into year 11 and I need to concentrate on my studying but I'm hoping that I will be getting it though Smile

Yogscast review for any-one wants to watch the yogscast or see how the game looked from the players perspective Smile

Dang...not sure if my comp can handle it then.

It'd be cool if we could get some DL people in a guild on there or something, or at least questing/battling together ^^ Guess we'll see how many people are into it.

According to 'can you run it', everything on my comp passes except 'CPU Speed'. It doesn't say 'pass' OR 'fail', so I'm not sure how that will work. Maybe I'll just have to make sure all background programs are closed if I'm running it?

Well, from what I know of the game the requirements aren't too bad. It's just that to play it with decency you need an amazing PC. Lewis (the one who plays in the video I posted) has an amazing computer that very rarely lags in fact I've seen him say many times that his PC cost him a lot of money but there is a moment in one of the Guild Wars Beta demos that his computer freezes for a while. Although this was when there was a number of players in the area all doing high usage things I remember them saying just how much data it used in order to freeze his PC.
Not to say they haven't addressed this problem it's just that I'd recommend if your getting this game to get the best PC equipment you can to get a decent experiences otherwise expect some serious lagging...

Although I have to say that every-one I've seen to play this game said it was amazing it's only that your PC will have a really hard time playing it. If you have a Mac... Don't waste your money on it...

How much does this actually cost, from what I can see the site isn't selling serial codes at the moment and I'm lazy to look it up. I would play if its not too much I don't have much at all right now.

I tried "can you run it", not that I doubt my computer but it passed with unexpected results. Didn't think it would reach all the way to the fast side.

It was $60 during the pre-release - not sure how much now

Yeah it needs a good computer (a friend of mine bought GW2) - if you like that sort of game then you would probably like Guild Wars.

Personally I've only played the 1st on, which was pretty good - and GW2 has been widely accepted.

If you've played it 5P33D5 I was wondering what is it like as a player for control? Is it quite easy to get to grips to or is it quite hard to to get used to?
