| This section is reserved for Official Dream League Tournaments. These tournaments will have DL Tokens as prizes for the winners. Winning an official tournament will also qualify you for the Uprising Championship Tournament that will take place in the future. Only Admins and selected moderators may post about tournaments in this section. If you wish to host your own tournament you may do so in this [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
The goal is to have at least 3 tournaments in 3 different categories going each month. Of course this will also depend on the growth of the forum in its early stages on when the first tournaments will be announced. We are not only focusing on Pokémon as the main competition anymore but other games as well. Each Official Tournament will run in the course of a month and no later. Registration will open 2 weeks prior to the event to allow members enough time to register.Universal Rules These rules must be applied to all Official Tournaments in order to keep the event running.
#1. Each participant has 1 week to complete their match, failure to do so will result in forfeit. #2. In the event that a participant can not complete their match for a certain reason, they must let the Tournament Director hosting the event know.
#3. Before setting up the brackets, the Tournament Director must check the time zones of the participants to ensure there will be no conflict in getting the match-up completed.
#4. The maximum time allotted for a tournament must not extend beyond 45 days. 30 days is the optimal time span for tournaments and should be set as the standard.
#5. All participants must give their time of availability when registering for the tournament in order to help the Tournament Director to set up the matches properly.
#6. Tournaments Directors must include what category the tournament is and post the rules within the OP.
#7. If a participant and the host has come to an agreement on a match-up change or time extension, then it must be completed within the time frame agreed upon. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit of the match. The host will then determine the winner of that match-up.
#8. In the event that a participant feels that the host of the tournament is being unfair about anything, Please PM DX or Kommeo about the situation and it will be looked into.Thank you for taking the time to read this information. New info will be added as needed when the time arises. | |
